Named after the English circuit, the Silverstone was released in 1974 as a successor to the Monaco, and it shows. The square case is still present, but for an updated look, Heuer chose to soften and polish the edges.

Matthew Bain—a Miami Beach-based vintage watch dealer—currently has an example for sale in burgundy, and it’s mounted on a matching strap, complete with a Heuer-branded buckle. This example of the avant-garde racing chronograph looks to be absolutely mint, so it’s sure to impress vintage Heuer fanatics and motorsport enthusiasts alike.

Porsche Design has always had a distinctive look to its chronographs, which can be traced all the way back to 1972, when F.A. Porsche founded the company, and produced their first wristwatch with Orfina. It was a highly legible, thanks to the use of a blacked out, PVD-coated case, which contained a matte black dial with stark white dial markers and hands.

If you’re on the hunt for the one, I think I might have just stumbled upon the perfect example, and I mean perfect. What we’ve got here is one of Porsche Design’s “Military” 7177s, which isn’t an issued timepiece, despite having the word military on the dial, and a circular, red 3H logo. Having said that, this Lemania 5100-powered Ref. 7177 is in NOS condition, with an immaculate, scratch-free case, and the original hang tag and protective caseback sticker are still attached to the watch.
