Self-taught, Belgian automotive artist, Nicolas Cancelier, has been painting since he was three years old, due to influence from his artist parents, but it wasn’t until he was twelve that he fell in love with motorsport when attending an F1 GP event at Zolder in Belgium. His works in many media: oil painting, water color, pencil, and pastel. Although we enjoy seeing an automotive artist work in so many styles and media, we’re most fond of Cancelier’s watercolors, which are featured below.

In a couple of weeks, Cancelier will be showcasing some of his work at the Goodwood Revival alongside Canadian artist Paul Chenard. If you’re planning to attend the event, be sure to stop by the Revival Market stand #76 to meet this talented artist and see his work in person.
