These cars don’t come around too often. The BMW 2000CS replaced the BMW 3200CS (and was followed by the vaunted E9), which was seen as too inefficient due to its V8. Indeed, the 2000CS bowed with a four-cylnder and was meant to decrease spending at the Bavarian brand. However, the 2000 series features the 3200’s Bertone styling with a much sleeker front end.

This particular model is located in rust-inhibiting California and seems to be extremely original, featuring its original engine and transmission. According to the seller, “The engine compression is 75psi and over. The transmission is rebuilt, new clutch, new pressure plate, new bearings, and new fork. Many new parts on engine bay, new tires, aluminum rims, good chromes, original carpet (in very good shape), seats reupholstered. All glasses are in good shape except for one small stone chip on the front window. No rust history besides minor spots in the spare tire area which has been professionally welded. Rockers are in very good shape, no rust or weld spots on the floors as they are very solid and in great shape; the same goes for the doors, no bondo has been used. Undercarriage has been spray undercoated. The car has new paint, sunroof works nicely. The rear windows are automatic and can be controlled from the front.
