Skip Barber Has Left An Indelible Imprint On The Racing World
It’s been pointed out on Ferrarichat that the outside laced wire wheels is mounted on the front on the passenger side and on the rear on the driver’s side. Interesting piece of history. As for the car I have always found something a little cumbersome with the front end of the 275gtb, lights that seem too large, a front that goes on and on but this short nose version is far prettier and better proportioned – a case of form before function if the front end lift was the only reason for lengthening the nose.
My friends and I have been attending the vintage races on Labor Day weekend at Lime Rock for almost 30 years. We rent a big van and drive up from northern N.J. Thank you very, very much Mr. Barber for helping to preserve the feel of the track and the overall ambiance of the event. And thanks for sharing the 275 with us.
