Stunning car. Very under-rated in the car world. Those door pillar scallops, the rear end – poor man’s (lesser rich?) Muira? Love the sound of that small V8.

I also really like the blue color of your Montreal. Also totally get your photographic fascination. I always take pictures of pretty details of my 1975 Euro Mercedes-Benz 350SE. Fine details not seen on modern cars. I want to step my photographic skills thanks to your inspiration.

I had the pleasure of meeting TJ some time in 2014 and was immediately drawn to him. He has a quiet humbleness, but behind his subdued demeanor you can also sense the passion and genius that lurk within. He never brags, never self promotes, and never reveals his hand and as a result you’re always left wanting a little more TJ. Since meeting him, TJ and I have spent countless Sundays together and we also enjoyed our Alfas on this year’s Targa California. Seeing his Montreal in action was a real treat. This video really does capture “the essence of TJ” and highlights his intense love of cars and photography and how he blends the two with such finesse and artistry. I’m happy to see that he has been bestowed with the honor of having a Petrolicious video spotlighting him, although in his humility TJ would never tell anyone to watch it. Kudos Teej (and Petrolicious) and I’ll see you up in Monterey next week!

Amazing!

I don’t fancy Alfas, but if I ever decide to get one, this is the model I want !

The first time I saw one, was in a book, and was immediatelly in love with its shape, stance and style!

I’ve only seen one here in Portugal (but I know that there are a few more). There was even a magazine article about them (Teej .- if you’re interested I can see which number is and scan it – mind you that’s in Portuguese 🙂 )

As to THAT color – it ads even more personality to it!

PS: what’s up with the left headlight “thing!” on 5.09 – left is down and the other is up – Alfa Romeo electrically gremlins showing ? 🙂

Also loved the way they combine the car with your Teej’s passion for photography!

Cheers from Portugal

Thanks for all the comments. The Montreal is a great GT sportscar for many reasons as you’ve mentioned.

Oh, and the license plate is “fakey rs” – the car is built to RS specs but isn’t a real one… it’s fake, but the experience is very real

What a wonderful car and such a friendly owner. I really enjoyed your video and can really relate to a ‘Blue Montreal’. I also love that “interior with the Groovy 70’s feel”. The other rides in the garage are pretty cool.

The tag on the Porsche says: ‘FAKEYRS’ or is that ‘FAKE YRS’?

I know it has similarities with Miura, but has any one else seeing the Jarama nose in it? specially on headlights?

I sort of see the connection with the headlights but the Montreal’s are cooler with the louvers. The shape of the Montreal door definitely says Miura.

The cappuccino and cigarette comment was great, part of the broader emotional landscape of our attachment to automobiles. It’s not just the conveyance, it’s what it conveys.

“…has somewhat of an A/C…,” that was golden. Love the car, and the color, I’ve actually never seen Montreal in that blue, that’s definitely best!

As always, another great film from Petrolicious! When I saw the Montreal in the header, I knew what it was as I had seen one once before. As I watched the film, I realized that I had met this very car and the owner during the recent Targa California. The vehicle was sitting outside the motel where we had stayed for the night. The body is stunning, and the color, mesmerizing in the early morning as the sun began to rise. As my buddy and I walked around the car, TJ came out and we chatted for a bit. I had no idea of the existence of the Montreal until this moment and really appreciated having the opportunity to talk to him and to have him share his passion about his Alfa. Great guy. Great car! Thanks again for sharing a ‘second’ time!
