What Do You Think Of Veuve Clicquot’s Bentley?

Most major brands dabble with custom cars at some point or another. Hendrick’s Gin has a Jaguar it trots out now and again. Coors Light has that train, or at least a slick mockup of it. Point is, it’s well-trodden territory.

What I’d never seen before, however, was a classic car done up solely for the purpose of touring tastefully. I recently joined Veuve Clicquot on a run from Avignon to Monaco for the Historic Grand Prix in a fleet of classics, but this one stood out to me as a particularly savvy move.

What are some of the better branded classic cars you’ve run into? What do you think of Veuve Clicquot’s Bentley? Sound off in the comments below.

Michael, this is the first ever build lhd Flying Spur. I was very fortunate to purchase this Mulliner S1 in Holland where the car had been frame off restored for over two years. The color combination is ‘shell grey’ over ‘moonshadow blue’ (actually has a touch of a very dark aubergine, visible in sunlight only).
I fully agree, every company that is investing in classic cars deserves the full credit.

Hello Chris,
Thanks so much for the quick reply. It appears you have purchased a “keeper”. It sounds as though the restoration process was very thorough.
Do you happen to be in the US or are you in the EU? I ask as I might have the good fortune in seeing it at a local concours.

I’m all in on this one … but then again I love Bob Dron’s supercharged 427 Hemi powered Rolls Royce as well . Icons … are meant to be taken down a notch now and again … with this one doing so quite tastefully

I love it. Interior pics would’ve been nice. I think the fact it is probably driving some Bentley purists batty is also compelling. I really enjoy the color combo and would drive that car like a proud papa.

I’ve seen the Veuve Cliquot Bentley several times, and I reckon it looks pretty cool. Not as cool as the XK120 in the background of the banner pic though!

The HJM coachbuild Bentley Flying Spur is one of the rarest and most elegant post war saloons – the mega exclusive 4-door ride of its time.
The custom Champagne Company’s color combination of this car might be appealing to the marketing directors, not my pot of tea however.

I enjoy having companies use these classics in their marketing. It gives further exposure to some great automobiles. In this case, although not everyone’s “pot of tea”, it’s merely a coat of paint that can be changed to another.
BTW, Chris, are you able to share more information on that particular silver / black Bentley? I find that colour combination absolutely stunning.
