The Rivolta is more interesting to me than the Riva. The car is so pivotal: Giorgetto Giugiaro drew the lines as young man in his 20s. Giotto Bizzarrini did the drive train, chassis and suspension. Gas was 25 cents per gallon. It was a moment in time that will not return.

I am glad that you at Petrolicious made the decision to give us these videos in der Sprache in der das Video erstellt wurde, just as it was recorded. There is some thing about hearing the owner’s own voice and the emphasis and cadence of his speech that no voice-over actor can replicate. Such a knowledgeable owner. Such a refined car. Thank you.

The protagonists presented in this weeks’ feature come with an high identification potential. Smart choice of motor and owner. Double thumbs up for stunning locations… looks like Hamburg, arguably the most beautiful city east of the Atlantic.

Wanna place a nice round $10k wager on that ? On second thought adjusting for inflation make it a cool $100k .

In reality in less than five years no one will give a damn abut these videos or Petrolicious both being nothing more than ephemeral snowflake addled claptrap destined for the relegation bin

Another home run petrolicious, amazing film, soundtrack, car, and caretaker. The car is so beautiful even seeing it live and dynamic is mind blowing.

Yeah, but what about that Riva he’s petting!

I had a client back in the 70’s with a Rivolta I lusted over and had to learn about. Classy guy and a beautiful car!

So good to meet purists like Helmut. He took the words right of my mouth. Nowadays we are living in a digital world with – of course – some helpful gadgets and things make it easier. But if I change from my modern BMW to my old Chevy Corvette Stingray I enjoy changing manual gears slowly and listening to the “beautiful noise” from the rumbling and snorkeling V8. Beautiful ISO and …. Helmut…much more the GRIFOOOO

What an excellent piece! I loved the music (so similar to what I play and listen to) and the sounds of the car are fantastic. Yes, it’s a simple American V-8, but it’s popular for a reason. Well done, really well done.

Helmut knows his cars AND his watches… lovely Jaeger-Lecoultre on his wrist…
Incidentally- many of the guages on these European marks were JL.
It was really either JL or Veglia…

Beautiful car (it kind of reminds me the BMW CS of the same time…) and story – you can sense the passion in the owner’s words!

Looking forward to watching this when I can. I’d never seen these before a year or so ago when one showed up on BringaTrailer. It instantly became one of my all-time favorite looking ’60s coupes.
