Let’s hit the slopes! Right now, Arctic air is rushing down the Canadian Rockies towards the American Midwest and East. This is good news because if you have an alpine fixation like us, you probably can’t wait until the unofficial start of winter and the ski season. However, depending on where you live, or where you’re willing to travel, November 27th, Thanksgiving day, marks the opening for many ski trails and resorts across the country. Parts of the East and the Rocky Mountains should have perfect conditions for an early dose of the white stuff by Turkey Day, which means early season skiing for you and me.

Whether you’re looking to take advantage of pristine, opening weekend slopes, or just looking to avoid kitchen stress by dining out next to powdery mountains on a traditional meal of roast turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, Thanksgiving day at the slopes is something to look forward to. Until tomorrow, feast your eyes on these vintage ski posters we’ve assembled. Just looking at them, you can practically hear the wind and snow whipping around as skiers race by.

A beautiful collection of posters. Wonderful colours and style from a byegone age. They remind me of the UK railway travel posters of the same era. Thanks for bringing them all together and sharing.
