These Vintage Horror Movie Posters are a Treat!
Happy Halloween! The leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall, and throughout much of the world temperatures are dropping–Autumn is in full swing. That is, unless you’re in southern California or the Pacific southwest in general, for example. Though we won’t be experiencing an especially brisk evening, the jack o’lanterns are carved with candles soon to be lit, phony spider webs and skeletons are hung, and kids (or adults) will soon be filling bags and buckets with candy.
If you’ll be staying in after gathering enough sweets for a couple weeks (or months), there are few better ways to celebrate the end of All Hallows’ Eve than with a scary movie. Why not grab some friends (or not, if you’re brave), snuggle up, and enjoy a couple vintage horror flicks! Though some might prove to be more humorous than terrifying, you’ll still be getting a break from contemporary, often sub-par films. Alas, a classic horror movie might not make you jump like the new stuff, but you can count on them being uncomfortably creepy. So if you’re considering a vintage nighttime treat, and aren’t opposed to the potential laugh, here are some suggestions to inspire you!
