Following the Ford Mustang and then the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac finally entered the pony car market with the Pontiac Firebird, which was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. Let’s take a look at portions of the Pontiac Firebird brochures from some of those years: 1967, 1968, 1969, 1973, and 1979.

Which generation do you like best?

I’m partial to the 1st-gen because my current project, now in the paint booth, is a ’68 Firebird. Going for an old school/street-fighter look. I have had a lot of cars from 240z, M-Coupes to 911s and it’s by far one of the cars I have the most fun driving on the street.

That picture makes me incredibly jealous. Keep us apprised on the Firebird, maybe we could do a Quick Take interview.
