Function and beauty are inseparable when the function in question is starting up a Porsche. That said, a worn-out stock key, or worse, a valet spare or random hardware store special, can be an eyesore. A dingy bit of plastic and metal shouldn’t stop you from wanting to go for a drive, but the details add up and this detail happens to be the first of many. After all, the key is the first tactile connection we have to our cars, so why shouldn’t we start (literally) with something beautiful? As Flat Six Keys creator Patrick Stevenson puts it: Porsche’s air-cooled sports cars evoke passion, and so should the keys that start them.

The Flat Six Key (exclusively for sale in the Petrolicious Shop) was designed not to change the factory’s version, but rather to eternalize its form and history. The shape is a well-worn and timeless design—one that causes instant recognition—but elevated just a bit beyond its inspiration. The machined lines evoke the tactile engagement of man and machine, and the center of mass is designed for the perfect balance in hand. Clearly, the Flat Six Key celebrates the little things, the unnoticed and unremarked on parts of the experience that still contribute to the driving experience as a whole.

Made from the same 303 Stainless Steel that Porsche uses in their modern factory keys, the Flat Six Key is CNC-machined out of a solid block of metal. Steel is harder and longer lasting than the original factory bass keys from Porsche. Between the classic design and the strong 303 stainless steel, the Flat Six Key is your forever key.
Note: fits All 1970-1998 Porsche 911 / 912E / 914
