My Favorite Images From Pebble Beach 2017

Shooting any concours is an exercise in carefully planned, meticulously dressed, slightly drunken frustration. You’re up at dawn, the lighting is awful, there are thousands of people swarming your favorite cars, and everyone you’ve ever known is there to distract you with killer stories and great revelry. For a photographer, Pebble Beach is no walk in the park.

I spent the day doing a mixture of everything, ultimately netting with a big chunk of photos that I’m actually really quite pumped on. For those who were there, my selections won’t be much of a surprise. For those watching from home, I hope I did you justice and your FOMO is slightly abated.

As always, you can see more on our Instagram.

Enjoy!

Our generation will only have road cars to give future concours. “Special” just doesn’t mean the same thing next to a historic racing car.

That ’58 250 Testa Rossa wearing a ribbon is lust-inducing. It’s easy to see why it won an award. It’s pure car porn! (Then again, isn’t everything pictured here?)
