The luxury GT car, produced from 1978 to 1995, was originally intended to replace 911, of which sales where in decline. Envisioned to be a new range-topping model combining the best of the two worlds: power and handling with refinement and comfort. The car boasts great front engine rear wheel drive proportions and powered by the front-mounted V8 it had plenty of power. The aluminum and steel hybrid body of the 928 was designed by Wolfgang Möbius. Its proportions and design are still modern today, especially compared to any other cars built in the late 70s. The 928 has fantastically smooth surfacing, true to the Porsche DNA. Innovation in design is found all over the car: the new interpretation of pop-up headlights, the polyurethane elastic nose and tail, and the hatchback: all fresh new thinking. I decided to go for a late 928, as it has a better grounding, more visual weight on the lower half of the body which is improving its stance. This illustration shows the gorgeous 928 side view and its smooth surfacing. The S4 wheels, with their subtle difference between the front and the back, compliment the car in a great way.
