As much as any other car, the Ferrari 330 P4 is the embodiment and culmination of an entire era of racing. With its low-slung stance and voluptuous lines, it is also among the most visually stunning cars ever produced. Combine these factors and the word “icon” slips to the tip of one’s tongue.

Son Takes Chrysler New Yorker Rally Car To The Next Stage
After some searching for a rally car, Jake Auerbach and his father settled upon a 1951 Chrysler New Yorker, a car which had previously run the famed La Carrera Panamericana race in Mexico and the Pike's Peak Hill Climb in Colorado. They began adding their own miles to the car's odomoeter, running the New York-to-Vancouver leg of the Trans-America Challenge in 2012 in addition to numerous other events. This father-and-son team covered more than 10,000 competition miles together.. They never, however, managed to win any of the events they entered together. In 2012, Jonathan Auerbach died at the age of 70. Shortly after, Jake entered the first rally he'd ever run without his dad. He won.

you should verify the post because it doesn’t show the video about the Ferrari 3330 P4 and shows a video called “the next stage” about a Chrysler, please verify, thank you

Wonderful car. Looks alot like the 65 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale…60’s er cars really were special….now everything looks alike, no personality.

Great video of the most beautiful Ferrari sports-racer ever. Period. Nice to see it being driven with a touch of panache.
As others have alluded to this is indeed chassis # 0856 owned by Lawrence Stroll – the ONLY completely original Ferrari 330/P4 – in that it’s still in the same bodywork configuration as it last raced: at the BOAC 500 in July ’67 at Brands Hatch.
However, there is one gaffe in his commentary that Mark Longhi deserves to be pulled up for. Quote:
“I think of the people who have raced them, whether it’s: [b]Mark Donohue[/b], Chris Amon, Lorenzo Bandini ….
Mark Donahue ?? Erm I don’t think so ! :p
Besides Chris Amon and Lorenzo Bandini, other notable P4 pilots included Mike Parkes, Ludovico Scarfiotti, Pedro Rodriguez, David Piper – and of course the man ML completely forgot to mention – Jackie Stewart.

Strictly speaking David Piper and Pedro Rodriguez were not pilots of the 330 P4 in period. Pedro did race the 350 Can Am which was converted from a P4 and David raced a 412P.

Loved the P4 since I saw a black and white of the first one in its Berlinetta configuration, which I still prefer. No matter what body style, it gets my vote for the most beautiful Ferrari ever produced. I can’t understand why it doesn’t bring the kind of money the 250 GTO does, but then P4s aren’t offered for sale very often. However for the guy who will settle for a reproduction, they are available for $500,000. See http://p4bynorwood.com/

I reckon the money thing is because you really need a track to enjoy a P4. If you want you can easily drive a GTO on the street (Nick Mason has often written about taking his kids to school in his) and do event like the Tour Auto, Copper State 1000 etc.

If you do a search on ‘Jim Glickenhau’s or ‘Ferrari 330 P4’ you should find some beautiful shots of his 330 P3/4 that was rebuilt with the aid of the Ferrari factory from the wrecked chassis of 0846. He also has written an article documenting the history of the chassis and offering proof that the parts he purchased were from the scrapped original.

I’m afraid you have been misinformed. The Glickenhaus car is NOT the original P3/4 0846 and there is proof from the man who designed the car, Ing. Mauro Forghieri, of this. The Glickenhaus article regarding his car has been proved to be full of misinformation, misquotations, and misinterpretation. Geek point from someone who has followed the social media postings of the most famous current P car owner Jim Glickenhaus. The Daytona 24 hour winner was 0846 which is technically a P3/4 not a P4 as it is a P3 chassis converted to take a P4 engine. The second place car is one in the video (and the winner at the Monza 1000KM) and the third place car was a 412P a customer spec P4 with a carb rather than fuel injected engine.

Yes, the Daytona 24 Hours of 1967 was won by 330 P3/4 0846. It was a P3 and in late 1966 it was used as the test bed for the P4 and had many other P4 modifications as well as the P4 engine. The chassis no longer exists as it was destroyed after being burned at Le Mans, 1967 (source ing. Mauro Forghieri – the car’s designer and Chief Technical Director at Ferrari’s Race Department 1961 – 1984). 0858 was the Monza 1000KM winner.

Stunning car and huge thanks to the owner for letting his car be filmed for us to enjoy. I believe this is the second of his cars to be in a Petrolicious video, although he didn’t own the other one at the time that video was shot 🙂
