The British supercar market has been experiencing a resurgence of late but let’s not forget the back catalog of greatest hits from the past few decades either. Modern classics like this stunning 1993 Jaguar XJ220, which not only look as good as any contemporary supercar but have the performance to match, will be heading to Silverstone Auction’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show sale this November.

Headlining the sale will be this right-hand drive XJ220 that has covered an incredibly low 2000-miles in 26 years. Delivered new to Sir John Madejski, founder of Auto Trader, this Spa Silver Jag ended up in a private collection in 2010. After £28,000 of work carried out by XJ220 specialist Don Law, it’s now being offered for sale at an estimate of between £350,000 to £400,000.

The Buckingham Green 1994 Aston Martin Virage Volante Widebody is another ’90s British modern classic and, being one of just 26 UK registered examples built by the factory to this specification, is a rather rare example too. The big 6.3-liter V8 has covered just 11,000-miles so it is barely run-in. Considering that the original buyer paid £195,236 ($238,890) for the car, the upper asking price of £120,000 ($146,000) makes this Aston a real find for its next owner.

Fast-forwarding to the modern era, we have a 2013 Noble M600. Thanks to its 650hp Volvo/Yamaha 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and 2760-pound curb weight, it is still quite capable of giving the latest generation of supercars a scare.

Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, it is the perfect option for the man or woman who wants contemporary performance with a touch of analog engagement. This is a Carbon Sport edition and the bodywork is finished in polished Carbon with red detailing. The odometer shows 11,500 miles and the asking price is between £150,000 ($183,000) to £170,000 ($208,000).

The retro-inspired BMW Z3 roadster is not exactly a supercar, but give it a roof and the award-winning 3.2-liter inline-six engine from the E46 M3, and it definitely raises its game to new heights.

Finding a Z3 M Coupe these days that is in good condition is extremely difficult, but coming across one that has done a mere 11,282 miles and looks as fresh as the day it left the factory is nigh on impossible. That is what makes this 2003 example finished in Titan Silver with red on black leather interior such a special find. At an estimate of £40,000 ($48,900) to £45,000 ($55,000) this Z3 M Coupe may not be a bonafide supercar but it is just as desirable.

The Silverstone Auction takes place from 9 to 10 November and further information is available on the link below.
