Our pals and co-conspirators at Motorcar Studios dropped by for a meeting the other day in what is nothing short of a stellar 15k original miles VW Bus. It belongs to a friend of theirs and served to schlep their team and gear around Los Angeles for a few weeks of shooting and meetings.

It’s always such a treat to see one of these in their original glory, big thanks to these guys for bringing it by the other day!

Having grown up in CA when these were new, as were the Rabbit (Golf), and 914’s this was the colour everyone wanted. This orange and the worst yellow ever created! these were nice though and absolutely needs stickers and some sign of wear and tear like it’s been to Pismo and then Angeles National Forest and on to Big Sur…all through a herbal cloud of joy!

It needs some period bumper stickers.

Truly Im still amazed we can find theses under 50K original miles.

Sad that there is no picture of the inside though.

What’s sad is the fact that anyone would ever buy one of these and then NOT use it as the maker intended . Fact is thats beyond sad … its pathetic .

FYI ; Either they showed up after you commented or you missed them cause there is a couple of photos of the interior

That was a common color back then and in fact was the color of one of my Beetle Buses . Trust me Mr Salt … life , color choices and tastes were … err … different back in the day ………..
