This Porsche 356 Speedster Puts Family First
Play
In the fourth generation of a family of coachbuilders, Rosita grew up surrounded in every way by cars, from the Ferraris her mechanic father picked her up from school in, to the toy cars he brought home for his children. Thing is, even though the family worked on primarily Italian cars, her father's true love was with Porsche.
The Howmet TX: Rethink Everything
Play
What sounds like a fighter jet and is faster than a Ferrari? Ladies and gentlemen, meet the incredible Howmet TX, an experimental race car that is the only turbine-powered car to actually win a race. Built by a talented team of engineers in 1968 using little time and just $10,000, the first Howmet was very much a moon shot.

Petrolicious please do a follow up on this kid’s car in future if you can. That would be fabulous. Beautiful story 🙂

Comfortably one of the best Petrolicious videos yet, and that’s a high standard to work to. Inspirational, great bikes, great partnership and fantastic workshop.

What an amazing relationship. As a father, I’m inspired to turn the TV off and introduce my young son to more creative and rewarding hobbies. It’s amazing what you can do when you turn the screen off and use your hands to build something. Bravo!

I was waiting to watch this with my son, age 10. He has watched pretty much all of your videos with me, but immediately suggested that this was one of the best. Obviously, it touches on a note that is close to home.

This is an inspirational story on many levels. It’s just good stuff all around.

I will agree: TV: bad. Video game: bad. And I’m gonna stick it out there now that posting Forza junk on here leaves a little sour taste in my mouth, especially with a story like this as a counterpoint.

Just sayin’.

Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to seeing more from this young man.

I just watched this with my 5 year old and the little guy now wants a bike. How do I break this to mom?

What a head of hair on that kid! I could use a little of it! Really great story with a dad taking full advantage of the time with his son and a boy who’s getting the benefit in terrific life experiences. Keep having fun!

Excellent story and fine film work. When I see things like this I have renewed hope and expectations for our young people. And what a cool looking bike!

Great story, this kid (and father) is awesome and has a bright future ahead of him ! I’m forwarding this immediately to my sister who is way too overprotective of my car loving 7 yr old nephew. Children have so much potential when restrictions are lightened up and guided in the right direction. Bravo!
