Los Angeles is hard on cars.
Not in the way that the East Coast is with its salty winters, or the south is, with its damp heat. L.A. is hard on cars in the sense that there is this pervasive, invisible, cloud of dust and smog that seems magnetically attracted to everything we care about. Don’t believe me? Start paying more attention to how decades-old paint jobs are holding up.
