As the second of what’s known as the “big” Healeys (the Sprite was much smaller), the 100-6 was available as a two-seater and a 2+2 (seriously). Motivation came from a 2.6L straight-six that gave a top speed of just over 100 mph – hardly impressive, but 0-60 took less than 11 seconds, making it quite brisk for its time.
This 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 on eBay is a 2+2 and has had a frame-off restoration, some time ago, supposedly performed by a noted Healey shop and used as the shop owner’s personal car. Seller claims the underside looks as good as the top side. The four-speed manual with overdrive has had an extensive rebuild (with receipts to prove it). Odometer reads 85,440, which we can only assume hasn’t already gone around once. If you’re the kind of guy or gal who enjoys club touring and desires an authentic yet comfortable sports car, you’ll find a lot of value in this Austin-Healey.
