Photography by Petra Sagnak
Sometimes, photographers are given the right environment in which to flourish. So when Petra Sagnak reached out with a few examples of her work, we immediately realized why she’s able to capture such incredible images: photography has always been around.
Sagnak’s father and grandfather were photographers, and that familiarity with the medium is not dissimilar with how fellow photographer Jeff Zwart’s father helped to fuel his passion for cars. It’s been reported that from a young age, she was captivated by the idea of what stories film could helped tell. Professionally, it means she’s won the coveted Bruno Boni Award four times in a row as the best international photographer at the Mille Miglia, an honor that stands among many others.
Here, she’s grouped for us a number of overhead shots taken at the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix held at the Nürburgring. I must say, those Jaguars are looking pretty sultry…which classic do you think looks best from overhead?
