The best thing about having a marketplace that lives online is being freed from the constraints of floor space, and this week we’re happy to add yet another new artwork supplier to the Petrolicious Shop. Live Vintage Gallery is the project of artist Tigran T, a longtime car enthusiast who decided to create a brand that could reflect his interest in vintage automobiles and nostalgic depictions. To start our partnership with Live Vintage Gallery, we’ve selected three artworks featuring iconic 2.0L Alfa Romeo models: the Berlina, GTV, and Spider.

The prints use original diagram illustrations from the Alfa Romeo factory, which are hand-printed on heavy stock, lightly-textured cream-colored paper. The screen printing for these works involves a stencil-based printing method in which the artwork is burned onto a nylon screen with light-sensitive coating. The screen is then washed with water to remove unwanted areas of the coating, dried, and registered onto the printing press. Ink is then applied to the top of the screen, the paper is loaded underneath, and a squeegee is used to depress the ink through the screen onto the paper underneath, resulting in rich ink density on each unique print.
