As some of you Petrolisti suggested, we attended the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este this last Sunday. Technically speaking, the Sunday event takes place at Villa Erba, Este’s little sister—an idyllic little dwelling on the beautiful shores of Lake Como.
The event is pretty much your average run-of-the-mill, world-class concours d’elegance with plenty of unobtainable, pristine classics from the ‘20s through the ‘70s impeccably maintained by their jet-set owners. If you’ve been to Pebble Beach or something similar, you’d feel right at home here. Actually, one thing does stand out: the Media Lounge at the Concorso is second-to-none. Several rooms of the villa and a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake are reserved for the media, and the food served is unlike anything you’d find at even the most prestigious events in the States.
Though we spent a good amount of time at the media lounge enjoying the view and the refreshments, we did get a chance to snap a few photos. Enjoy.

I’m glad you guys could make it to one of the most prestigious historic automotive events in Europe. Unfortunately i was unable to attend this year, though Italy is not that far from me, but i have to say that i am delighted to see Americans visiting such an exquisite display of European automotive history. I am sure you are familiar with Ralph Lauren’s astonishing car collection and i hope you had a great time in Europe, since no continent is so rich and rewarding when it comes to vintage cars, historic cars and even modern cars.
