Last week at this time we were all basking in post-GTO bliss. And while we don’t have a video for you today (here is last week’s, in case you were the one person who missed it), we are going to fulfill one reader’s (Mr. Evan Bedford) request and share these ringtones based on the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO’s intoxicatingly wonderful engine sounds. It might not be the same as driving the racer, but at least you’ll be able to enjoy the sound whenever Mom calls.

For an Apple iPhone, RIGHT-CLICK here to download.

For an Android/Windows phone, RIGHT-CLICK here to download.

Once downloaded, move the file to your Ringtone folder in iTunes, sync your cell phone, then select the ringtone as your default ring.

Yeah, this is absolutely at the top of the freebie pile!

I’ve had this on my phone for few weeks now and it sounds better than it has any right to. The best part is when I’m in my van and a call comes in on Bluetooth, through the stereo speakers– I usually let it ‘ring’ twice before answering!

Well, that’s about the coolest freebie I’ve ever received. I’ll answer my phone much more happily now!

Many thanks to Petrolicious and the very generous owner of this V12 gem. 😉

Any chance of getting a ring tone of the datsun 240 in the video a few months back?

Just record the sound with your iphone as a voice memo. Then edit it to the desired length and section. Add it to your library, then delete it and rename the file extension “.m4r” and double click it on desktop. It’ll be a ringtone. 😉

If you are using Internet Explorer, just rightclick on the preferred version, then you choose “save target as”.

Worked in chrome, not firefox! Woop!

It just opens another window 🙁 can’t seem to get the file to actually download! Will try in different browser

Evan Bedford
