Impressive Field Of Concours d’Elégance Entrants Headed To Blenheim Palace This Weekend

The 2019 Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance is nearly upon us and the event’s organizers have just announced the full list of stunning vehicles that will be taking part. From a 1903 Darracq 24hp Model JJ to a 2019 Ferrari SP3JC, the selection of 57 cars and 20 motorcycles covers everything from rare pre-war classics to modern supercars and special commissions.

Highlights of the event will include a separate Ferrari Americas class—celebrating 60 years of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB—as well as a New Classic of the Future class focusing on rare modern supercars and one-off creations like the Ferrari SP3JC and Lamborghini Aventador Miura.

The events new format will see the Concours d’Elégance taking place over two days starting this Thursday, with the Best of Show winner announced on Friday. Bentley’s centenary year will be a central theme at this year’s event, and notable entrants from this marque include a 1930 supercharged 4.5-liter model with coachwork by Gurney Nutting and the 1934 Bentley Barnato Hassan Special. There will be no fewer than 11 Ferrari 250 GT models taking part in the Concours as well as a selection of very rare supercars from a 1990 Ferrari F40 LM to the recently unveiled 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster.

Blenheim Palace will also be host to over 3000 classics and supercars on its extensive lawns and the entire event will be run over four days from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th. Visitors will be spoilt for choice and Salon Privé Concours Chairman, Andrew Bagley is both thrilled and proud, commenting, “This year’s show field is a feast for the eyes and an absolute ‘must’ for all enthusiasts, owners and collectors. More international owners are present on the lawn this year than ever before, underpinning the importance of Salon Privé on the international circuit.”
