The car: 1979 Jaguar XJ6L

Price: $5,000 (negotiable)

Location: Port Washington, New York, USA

The Jaguar XJ you see here marks the end of an era. It was made for the last year of the Series II generation, which stretched from 1973 until 1979.

This long-wheelbase XJ6 seems to have had the sort of treatment in keeping with a vehicle of its significance as it’s been garaged and “obsessively and professionally maintained.” It features a “new [rebuilt] front end, brakes, [and] transmission,” as well as original maintenance records.

Inside, there’s air conditioning, a new headliner, Alpine sound system, “excellent wood dash,” and fresh carpet and red leather.

The one thing this silver cat is missing is a new owner with whom it can begin another era of luxurious travels.
