Although a certain Lincoln convertible is associated with a tragic day in 1960s America, this four-door hardtop Continental has a much more positive history of its own.
It was purchased by its first owner amidst the glitz and glamor of Hollywood and over the past fifty-two years, this sedan has accrued fewer than 40,000 miles. Its Castilian Gold metallic paint, which, according to the seller, is “a lovely greenish-silverish-goldish” color, is mostly the same as it was when this land yacht sailed off the production line. The completely original leather interior, coated with a black metallic finish, has wood trim accents and is in “immaculate condition.”
Other parts still function in the Obama era, such as the power windows and the factory AM radio’s retractable antenna. The owner states this classic “runs and operates as new.” In fact, it’s “reliable enough to be used as a daily driver.”
