Red Bull Filmed An F40 Rallying Through Japanese Snow Because Of Course It Did

The Ferrari F40 gets its “legend” status by virtue of its inception, performance characteristics, looks, and construction—but not necessarily for its success in racing. Some F40s were raced, sure, but little did Ferrari know that its turbocharged supercar would find most of its fame in viral videos. There have been matte black ones, crashed ones, and F40s drifted for a spot of “Farmkhana”.

If you can’t really celebrate a car’s racing heritage, might as well do fun stuff with it—so what about taking an F40 skiing…? Red Bull teamed up with my new hero, Takeshi Kimura, to film the aftermath of adding rally lights, a luggage rack, snow chains, and a few other things to make this Ferrari supercar suitable for a snowy mountain.

Oh good lord !I saw this early yesterday on AW’s site ! Talk about for a brief moment in time bringing the F40 back to its original purpose [ the F40 was created specifically for the DOA Group S Rally specs ]

Not to mention Red Bull kind of putting one of their sponsored athletes [ if you can still call him that ] Jon Olsson … what with all his Audi R8 , Lamborghini snow spec cars in his place as well as kind of stomping on Koneigsegg’s turf [ with their Agera ‘ Ski Car ‘ ] as well .

Assuming there’s no CGI ? Amazing is an understatement . And yes as Mr. Veilleux has said … a definite contender for automotive bat **** crazy video of the year . Fact is … if there is no CGI … its a hands down winner !!!

Agreed ! And by the way … I did ! Five times early yesterday .. along with three more this morning … what a freaking hoot ! An F40 finally being used as the maker originally intended before the intention was taken away by the powers that be . Hmm … after round three this morning I’m feeling a definite need/hankering for a bit of ‘ Kit Bashing ‘ .. that is … assuming anyone’s still has an F40 kit in their lineup 😉

This video basically got all that you could wish :

– A F-40
– Outrageous driving
– Rally lights

And absolutely no fuck given to the fact that you are rallying/hooning a F-40 in the snow.

Ahahahahaha ! I love it ! And to be honest … I wish it was ! FYI ; Mr Golseth … that aint no ‘ zinger ‘ … thats a blatant outright compliment whether JAlafa meant it to be .. or not !

But ahhh … as for the four paragraph rants J ole bean .. Well EXCUSE me for choosing to actually compose and write a response/opinion rather than Twittering away like the majority of the Dyslexic ADD Hummingbirds online these days . God forbid someone should bring back the art of actual writing ..
