The Triumph TR6 replaced the TR5 and TR250 in 1969 and survived through 1976. American versions had a carbureted 2,498cc six-cylinder, while the rest of the world used fuel injection. A four-speed manual was the only transmission available, although overdrive was an available option.
This American 1969 Triumph TR6 is #60 off the line. The seller says he bought this Texas-based TR6 in 1999 and that it has always been garaged since then, adding that it has never been driven on road salt despite its metro Philly digs. It “has been professionally restored” including rebuilt carbs and ignition, with more recent upgrades being a new clutch pack, complete brake system, springs, shocks and suspension bushings, and more. With 63,000 original miles and including Goodyear Eagle STs mounted on aluminum wheels reminiscent of Ansen Sprints, it’s “a turn-key unit ready to enjoy.”
