Have a good long look at these photos. Oh, sorry! Did we say photos? They’re actually paintings, but you can probably understand the mistake. These millimeter-perfect illustrations are the work of Mr. Kenji Shibata. He describes his creations as “unsurpassed depictions that faithfully capture the heart of Japanese motorcycle history.” Faithfully, indeed. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be too much information on Kenji, so we’ll simply have to be content with enjoying his artwork.

Picture perfect is an understatement for these pieces by Mr. Shibata! When I first disovered his work, I could not believe the kind of detail that he was able to achieve with hand drawn/applied paintings. Good to see him surfacing on Petrolicious for the much-deserved appreciation and thanks for posting fellas!
