If you squint, you’ll see a little bit of Ghia in this 1972 Volvo 1800E. The Ghia-designed Fiat 8V “Supersonic” influenced several cars in the 1950s, but none so obviously as Volvo’s P1800, which debuted for the 1961 model year. Through 1973, Volvo continued to make the 1800 appear contemporary and, with fuel injection in 1970, its performance continued to be contemporary.

This 1800E on eBay is claimed to be a California car that is “ready for the road.” The 2.0L four “runs smoothly with plenty of power” and is hooked up to the popular manual four-speed with fifth-gear overdrive. Seller claims it is one of the few 1800s with power steering, although he is vague whether he added it or it was factory-installed. All paint, interior, and trim are said to be in fine shape. As a well-maintained and clean example of an 1800E owned by a collector and Volvo club member, ask yourself, “Am I ready to drive this saintly Swede home?” For half the cost of a loaded Volvo S60, you can enjoy Italian style and the form and function that only a Swedish car can deliver.

I have always said if i was going to get any Volvo it would be the 1800 i know its a obvious choice to some but the car just has a old world charm and great styling that i love. Im not sure if the price is right on this one but i mus admit again i kinda like the color and im usually not the one for anything yellow or close to it.
