Classic Car Auctions has made a name for itself over the years for bringing to market some of the best affordable classics around. Its upcoming sale on October 5 at the Warwickshire Event Centre in Leamington Spa in the UK promises to continue this trend and £1.7 million ($2,1 million) worth of some of the highest-quality cars have been consigned to the event.
The headline lots include a Signal Red 1958 Triumph TR3A that has been with one owner for 43 years and has done just 13,000 miles since 1976. It has a well-documented history including details about its 30-month long restoration in the late ’70s and it is estimated to sell for between £28,000 ($34,800) to £32,000 ($39,800).
Another beautifully styled roadster on offer is the stunning 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII, finished in black with a red interior was restored a few years ago and comes complete with a Heritage Trust Certificate. It is projected to fetch up to £50,000 ($62,000).
The Rover P5 is a thoroughbred British classic which is becoming increasingly difficult to source, especially in the superb condition that this 1970 P5B 3.5 Coupe is in. Having been restored five years ago using genuine Rover parts, it is considered to be one of the finest examples around and its estimate of between £20,000 ($24,800) to £25,000 ($31,000) reflects this.
Plenty of Jaguar XJs were built during the 14-year production run between 1968 and 1992 but the XJC was a far rarer coupe variant and fewer than 200 are believed to have left the factory with a manual transmission. This particular 1976 example has been very well cared for and has spent the last ten years in a museum collection, the impressive service history and Heritage Certificate add further value to this special Jag and it is expected to fetch up to £30,000 ($37,000).
Another highlight of the upcoming auction is the wedge-tastic Triumph TR7. This one was built in 1981 and has completed just 24,000 miles since then. It comes with a comprehensive history file, original owners document wallet and even the jack is still in the factory bag. Its upper estimate of just £11,000 ($13,600) shows that Classic Car Auctions still are the specialists in everyman classics, with a variety of desirable and attainable offerings on their books.
