Ferrari itself wrote about the colorperhaps becoming fashionable earlier this year, mentioning that fewer than 1% of its new models were finished in that shade of green. Truthfully, I hadn’t considered (much less had seen) a green Ferrari until my teenaged years.
We used to get re-runs of the original UK TV comedy seriesBlackadder starring Rowan Atknson, thenMr. Bean , and I was excited to learn at the time that not only is Rowan Atkinson a massive car fan but had once ordered a 456 GT inVerde Inglese (English Green) over a boldrosso ½ leather interior. With a manual transmission, naturally.
“Green Ferrari. Neat,” I no doubt thought at the time, but it’s an attraction that has remained ever since. (But if we’re talking about specific cars, the Chevrolet Corvair Greenbriar…)
