Mr. Jake Starr is a firefighter in Louisville, Kentucky, who has a mind for creativity and loves to sew. He uses old materials from around his firehouse and gives them a second life by creating unique and durable handmade items and selling them in his Recycled Firefighter online store.

Jake sells wallets, toiletry bags, and tool bags, but our favorite Recycled Firefighter product is the rugged Tool Roll made from heavy double-jacketed firehose canvas with edges sewn using rescue webbing. It’s 18″x8″ and has slots for nine tools.

These are so cool and are totally my speed. I’m going shopping! Come payday, I’m stocking up.
I need things to be durable, to function, and to wear well with use. This looks like it hits all marks.

Well done!

Thanks for sharing.
