Goodwood Festival Of Speed To Host An Impressive Array Of One-Off Ferrari Special Project Cars

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is just around the corner and it will once again offer visitors a vast array of attractions over four action-packed days. Adding to the excitement will be a display of Ferrari Special Project cars, including the P80/C and SP3JC, which will be making their world debuts at the event.

The P80/C was built for a private client who wanted a track-ready supercar. Based on a 488 GT3, its development time was the longest of any one-off Ferrari to date. The SP3JC meanwhile got its inspiration from the V12-engined spiders of the 1950s and ’60s and uses the running gear of an F12tdf as its base. Unlike most prized one-offs, both of these cars will be taking part in the Supercar Runs up the Goodwood hillclimb.

Having been revealed earlier this year as part of the new Icona range, the Ferrari Monza SP2 will also be making its UK debut at Goodwood. It too is inspired by racing Ferraris of the 1950s and will share the stand with the current Ferrari range, including the 812 Superfast and GTC4 Lusso. Racing models such as the 488 Challenge car and track-only FXX-K Evo will also be in attendance and a number of Formula One cars from the era of racing legend Michael Schumacher will be paying homage to the great man.

Fans of Ferrari’s back catalog of racing greats will be pleased to hear that legends like the 1975 312T, 1969 312 P Spyder and a 1962 250 GTO will be participating in a variety of historic classes over the course of the weekend too. The 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place between the 4th and 7th July and while tickets are still available, they are in limited supply so don’t delay if you plan to attend.
