Now You Can Race A LEGO 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Against A Challenger SRT

You don’t have to be a kid to love LEGO… especially when the kits are this cool. This pairing of two buildable Dodge muscle cars, one classic, one modern, has just been released, and we like it a lot. Better still, the cars can be customized: the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T features a removable supercharger and alternate engine cover (because, hey, some days you might not want the whine of the blower) along with minifigure cockpit, removable windshield, wheels with rubber tires and decorative stickers. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon comes with two sets of rims, rubber tires, rear spoiler and dual exhaust, as well as the minifigure cockpit, removable windshield and decorative stickers. There’s also a minifigure race marshal to keep the two drivers in order at the drag racing Christmas tree lights.

The cars are part of the LEGO Speed Champions building sets range, which already includes the frankly awesome new and old pairings of 1967 Mini Cooper and 2018 Mini John Cooper Works buggy, and Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 and new 911 RSR, along with a full Ferrari ‘Ultimate Garage’ with 250 GTO, 488 GTE and 312 T4 historic F1 car. Gotta love LEGO’s commitment to classic cars lately… If you want the Dodge set, it’s available on Dodge.com as well as from the LEGO website.

Just finished the 911 pairing with my 5 year old. Well, sort of. After I put him to bed, my girlfriend & I finished the RSR together because it was so damn cool. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy LEGOS as much at 45, but even my girlfriend couldn’t deny that she was into it.

Happy New Year’s to each of you : )
