PETROLICIOUS TRIVIA CONTEST RULES OFFICIAL RULES

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. BY PROVIDING A SUBMISSION, ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

1. SPONSOR. The sponsor of the trivia contest is Petrolicious, located at 5907 Blackwelder St., Culver City, CA  90232 (hereinafter “Sponsor”).

1. TERM. This trivia contest will begin on Friday June 12th, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and end on Sunday June 14th, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Entries are free and must be made online by following the instructions on the contest page on Petrolicious.com. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements as set out in the Official Rules. This is a skill- based contest and chance plays no part in the determination of winners.

1. WHO MAY ENTER. Contest is open to everyone, 18 years of age or older.

1. HOW TO ENTER. All entries must be submitted in digital format through the online entry form. To enter, please go to the dedicated contest page at petrolicious.com, and follow the entry instructions.

1. CONTEST PRIZE. The prize winners shall receive a Turtle Wax Black Line Collection Limited Edition Kit. The approximate retail value of the prize is $50. The prize does not include any travel or expenses in conjunction with the use of the prize. The prize may not be transferred or assigned by the winner. No cash equivalent will be provided in lieu of the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize in the event of unavailability.

1. WINNER. Five winners will be picked randomly by the Sponsor from the Petrolicious responses received during the Term that correctly answer the posted question. Sponsor will rely upon recognized industry sources for questions posed and answers.

1. ODDS OF WINNING. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received and the skill of the entrant.

1. PARTICIPATION. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering, or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest. Entrants also agree to be contacted electronically regarding the contest outcome. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.

1. PRIZE WINNER. By entering into this Contest, the prize winner agrees to have their name posted on the site as the prize winner and be provided by mail to those who send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Petrolicious, 5907 Blackwelder St., Culver City, CA  90232.

1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. By entering the Contest, entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (2) any claims, judgment, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney’s fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses. But in no event shall the liability of the Sponsor exceed $100.

1. CONSTRUCTION. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, an enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any contestant and sponsor, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law, rules, or provisions (whether of California or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the invalidity or unenforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, those rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

1. GENERAL RELEASE. By entering the Contest, contestants release Petrolicious, any other promotional sponsors, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners, and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss, or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light).

1. SPONSOR. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing, or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in any other materials relating to the Contest. If you have any questions regarding this Contest, please contact help@petrolicious.com.

1. AFFIDAVIT AND RELEASE; BACKGROUND SECURITY CHECK. As a condition of being awarded the prize, the winner will be required to execute and deliver to Sponsor a signed affidavit of eligibility and acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability, and any other legal, regulatory, or tax-related documents required by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor may at its option conduct a background check on the potential winner. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person from receiving the prize based on such background check if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that awarding any prize to such potential winner could result in a safety, security, or reputational risk to any person, persons, or the Sponsor or could result in the disruption of any event associated with the promotion.

1. DATA PRIVACY. Entrants agree that personal data, especially name and address, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Contest and any other purposes outlined in these Official Rules. The data may also be used by the Sponsor in order to verify the participant’s identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the participant’s eligibility to participate in the Contest. Participants have the right to access, review, rectify, or cancel any personal data held by Sponsor by writing to Petrolicious, 5907 Blackwelder St., Culver City, CA  90232. Personal data will be used by Sponsor and its affiliates exclusively for the purposes stated herein.
