The car
As part of its Private Sales initiative, Petrolicious is proud to offer a unique collector-grade Ferrari. The Ferrari F512M, or F512 “Modificata”, represents the ultimate evolution of the Testarossa line-up. Launched in 1994, it marked the end of Ferrari’s flat-twelve era, succeeding the Testarossa and 512 TR. The car featured a 4.9L, 434-horsepower flat-twelve engine (the last of its kind), clear-lensed headlights, and circular rear lights.
If the Ferrari 512TR was light-years ahead of its Testarossa predecessor in terms of performance and driving dynamics, the Ferrari F512M was, conversely, much more of a stylistic evolution of the 512TR. Yet, functional elements such as the NACA intakes incorporated into the hood, optional racing “bucket” seats, new engine pistons, titanium connecting rods and a significantly lighter crankshaft all played a role in making the car slightly livelier. What truly makes the Ferrari F512M desirable, however, is that nearly ten thousand of the famous side-strake supercars were built between 1984 and 1996, yet only 501 of these were F512Ms.
Condition | exterior
Body – All panels are original and matching on this Ferrari. The vehicle has never been involved in any road incident, and no corrosion is noted on or under the car. The front bumper, side skirts, and air intakes are free of rock chips or scratches; no Paint Protection Film is applied to the car.
Underbody – Pictures of the undercarriage are available on demand, showing no signs of corrosion.
Paint – This Ferrari F512M rolled off the production line in stunning Giallo Modena paint, believed to be one of less than 45 cars in this shade. Paint thickness measurements are available on demand, but potential buyers should be aware that the driver’s door and rear fender have been repainted (to an almost indistinguishable quality).

Keys, Instruction Manuals, tools – Two original keys are included with the car. Instruction manuals are also accompanied, but original Ferrari tools are absent from the lot.

Servicing history – Ferrari F512M #101716 spent most of its life in Japan (1994-2015) before being imported by its second owner to Belgium. In 2016, the third owner exported the car to Czechia, where it stayed until February 2024, before finding its new home in Canada with its current, fourth owner. Light can be shed on the first two decades of ownership through a handful of Japanese servicing bills. Under European ownership, no servicing bills are available, except for the major engine-out service performed in February 2024.

Our thoughts on this Ferrari F512M
Our Ferrari F512M #101716 is an overall solid, honest and fairly priced example of the last model to leave the Maranello factory with a flat-twelve engine. The car has been recently and extensively serviced. It showcases a striking Giallo Modena original colour. And above all, is ready to be driven by its next custodian. Adding some thousands of miles to its odometer would have very little impact on its future value.
