This Is An Alfa Romeo Fit For A Futuristic Fine Artist

Milanese artist Federico Bozzano is obsessed with speed and motion, and so it’s probably fitting that when he’s not creating otherworldly paintings, he’s behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo.

On first glance, it may appear as though you’ve seen paintings like this before—but look again. His hyperrealistic scenes are both blurred and crisp, and oddly detailed despite being heavily stylized. There’s a cinematic quality to his automotive art, which is probably how he also works with directors, imagining scenes for movies like Avatar and District 9.

In photos of his Alfetta, it’s clear his concern for how light and shadow can influence a scene have made this near-classic appear even more exotic and futuristic than it normally does. With a bit of darkness, this Alfa is almost beginning to look like the design sketch it evolved from.

You can check out Federico Bozzano’s artwork here.

Amazing paintings. Top work, for sure. Not many can do that stuff.

My first Alfa I owned, was a 81′ Alfa Romeo, Sprint Veloce. 2.0 L engine. No Spica pump, came from the factory with Bosch EFI. A very well balanced car for it’s time. Front and Rear sway bars, and 5ft torsion bars under the car. Ciao-for-now! PS. “I’m looking for another one”

Wow,
I just checked out Bozzano’s work. Fantastic! That’s the most compelling automotive art I’ve ever seen and the wolves in the snow…awesome! Such an effective and unique style he’s developed. Just absolutely beautiful.

Hey Guitar,
Astor Piazzola had to drive something pretty peppy to outrun all those crazy Tango traditionalists that wanted to kill him for daring to update the Tango!
I also agree with Matthew about the 105 GTA alloys. That was the first thing I noticed.

Just lovely. And that’s no Balocco.

It makes me really miss my 1982 Alfa GTV6 in black metallic.

Not seen an Alfetta GTV with 105 GTA style alloys before. Really suit the car

Paint it white with subtle red white and green strips on each side , , seriously modified with a host of AutoDelta upgrades including suspension , flares and turbo .. tack on a set of Campy wheels [ to go with the Campy component set on my Colnago ] tuck a well concealed roll cage inside .. Recaro seats and an after market stereo and you’ll have an idea what my old Alfetta was about . Funny that both a composer / musician / guitarslinger … an artist .. not to mention the likes of Astor Piazzolla would be drawn [ no pun intended ] to Alfetta GTs . Hmm … must say something … Any clues what ?

BWTM ; Great car , interesting art work … and thanks for bringing back a few good memories … its always nice to see a well loved Alfetta GT
