When in the market for a premium sports car, the attributes of ‘economy’ and ‘value’ usually get swept under the requirements of ‘performance’, ‘power’ and ‘prestige’. But Lotus is now promising it all with its latest version of the Evora, the GT410.

Compared with the existing GT410 Sport model (GT in North America), the GT410 is advertised as more of a daily driver, which means its dampers have been softened, and it rides on all-weather Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires instead of dedicated summer rubber. Air conditioning is standard, along with Sparco sport seats and a premium infotainment system with navigation.

Increased sound insulation, integrated arm rests in the door trims and extra storage bins in the cockpit also add to this model’s comfort and usability. A revised tailgate with larger glass area makes rear viewing easier from the tiny Lotus, too. Powertrain remains the same, however, with a 410hp four-cylinder matched to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a paddle-shift automatic.

In fact, the GT410 makes standard many of the options of the GT, all while coming in at  £3,000 (almost $4,000) less in the UK than the GT410 Sport, which retails for £85,900 ($112,000) there. No word yet on when the GT410 will cross the pond.
