You Can Now Buy A Watch Made From Scrapped Supercars

Are you feeling guilty, trying to balance your need of recycling to save the world while still lusting after gas-guzzling, high-speed sports cars? Now you can do both. Sort of.

A watch company based in Australia has a limited run of timepieces partially made with scrapped parts from crashed supercars.

Fuoriserie offers the Rosso Red, featuring dials made from wrecked doors of a Ferrari 348 TB, and the Storm Black, the dials of which have been cut from the hood of an Aston Martin Rapide destined for landfill. Both watches measure 42mm and are powered by a Japanese-made Miyota 203A quartz movement. Each watch is numbered and limited to a run of just 150.

Because of the source materials, the watchmaker states that “all of our watches are visibly unique, tell their own story and feature a design that respects the car they came from.” We don’t know about that, but at $450 AUD – around $310 USD – it’s a reasonably priced way to get close to the car of your dreams.

Cool. This is an interesting idea. Make a watch out of broken cars. Unfortunately, the price is too high, and an ordinary person cannot afford this, even if he takes out a loan. I somehow already got into debt because of my stupidity. I will not repeat my mistakes again. This is all thanks to the Fit My Money finance website. I was able to pay off my debts and improve my financial situation. But, unfortunately, this is not enough for such expensive purchases(

They look great! Today, as a rule, it is difficult to imagine a modern person without a wristwatch. My husband usually buys a watch here https://chrisaire.com/collections/aire-capitol-hill . They are distinguished by a wide range, uniqueness and durability, which is very important for every man

They are quartz? Not so vintage internals to say the least. A good Hamilton automatic for about the same price feels more vintage IMHO.

Point taken James…….It’s truly a matter of priorities. I’ll buy a $50 Timex and spend the rest on a Nardi wheel for my Alfa Romeo.

My Alfa is a run of the mill S 4 Spider with a few minor tweaks. Her name is Gabriela and on a good road she is a charmer.

Be fair Bill. It’s actually quite refreshing to read that “you can now have a supercar on your wrist” for ‘only’ $450, compared with a Bugatti-named timepiece that will set you back five figures. And that’s provided you buy the car that goes with it too.

As for shirts woven from F1 drivers’ hair, ‘turtlenecks by Antonio Giovanazzi’ has a good ring to it.
