Exciting news—we’ll be following this year’s Mille Miglia as it happens. Expect both in-depth feature stories, as well as the sights and sounds to be shared on our social media channels.

Until then, however, we’ve created a playlist featuring all of the Mille Miglia machines we’ve featured, so that you can get excited about next week’s race. What began as a harrowing open road race held from 1927 to 1957 (breaking for the Second World War) is now a timed open road rally at much lower speeds.

Open to makes and models that had previously entered, the race attracts a wide variety of entrants, from well-heeled tourists with a priceless classic to local families who have been entering for years. In any case, the Mille Miglia is about honoring the spirit of competition, and we’re excited to share that with you over the coming days.

My spouse and I are travelling to Rome this week and would love to see the cars. Does anyone know where in Rome the cars will be parked? I think they are in Rome on Saturday nite.

I’ll be there for sure, maybe on the Abetone pass
