If you’re going to show off the world’s best vehicles, you’d better do so in style…a castle, perhaps? I’m not sure exactly who we have to thank for this upcoming event at Windsor Castle in September—but I’ll start by thanking Her Majesty The Queen for inviting 60 of the world’s best cars ’round for a concours in celebration of her 90th birthday.
The main attraction are 60 cars that are among the most impressive ever constructed, from the 1938 Hispano-Suiza H6C Dubonnet Xenia to the insane 1988 Peugeot Oxia Prototype. Those are the outliers, but don’t worry: Graham Hill’s Ferrari 250 GTO and George Harrison’s Radford Mini de Ville will also be in attendance.
Those are just the “main” Concours of Elegance selections, however: a further 1,000 are estimated to turn up. It’s a three-day event for good reason, and begins September 2—we’ll see you there.
H/T to Concours of Elegance
I came here from a reverse image google search to find out regarding that very car: I know it’s an Alfa Romeo, I know it’s possibly an 8C, and wanted to find out more.
But of course, just a bunch of pictures displayed as if they were some Ford Focus and Chevrolet Volts, that everybody knows, right? 😉
