Architecture and the automobile have long been a complementary pair, and it makes sense, what with the car being in many ways an extension of our home and a reflection of ourselves—a place where we conduct our lives. The scope of industrial design mandates is very wide, though, so this leaves us with spectrums that go from lean-to to skyscraper, Yugo to Veyron. Almost any object can be portrayed artistically given the right circumstances and context, but the job is made easier when the subjects possess some inherent beauty. On the other hand, making something that stands on its own merits while featuring something as iconic as a Porsche 911 is no easy feat either.

We’ve featured artwork from Motor Affair in the past, and we’re happy to add a new series from the artist. The collection is called “No Bad Days,” and it explores the impactful design of midcentury modern residences and some of our most beloved sports cars. The pieces lean toward the minimalist side, and there is just enough color to make them pop. The selection of prints shown here represent just a few possibilities in the series, and Motor Affair will mix and match any of the cars and colors and homes shown here. If you want to get even more specific, you can also add a car not pictured here or even your own. To do so, simply email us at theshop@petrolicious.com.

The prints are all signed by the artist, measure 12″x18″, and will ship from the US, meaning international customers may incur customs and VAT fees. References for mixing and matching selections are below:
