Street Find: This Land Rover Pickup Is Aging Beautifully In Rustic Canyon

I spent the afternoon with Architect David Martin week ago for an interview at his gorgeous home in Rustic Canyon in Santa Monica, California. He had his own Scottish Forestry service LR that was sharp, but it was this aging beauty that caught my eye.

What is it about a rusty rover that is so aesthetically (not mechanically) pleasing?

That short wheel base with the pickup cab has a majic look to me.

Love it !! I thought I would attach a pic sent to me by a friend traveling around the UK of a Landy just dripping with patina.
