Year, Make, and Model: 1980 Porsche 911 SC 3.0L

Location: Denderhoutem, Belgium

I’ve always been interested in cars, my first classic car was a 1972 VW Beetle, my second a 1967 Chevrolet Bel Air, and this is my third one now. I sold my ‘67 Chevy, made a bit of profit and got the opportunity to buy this Porsche at a very good price.

As soon as I got my hands on it I was lost; I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I had to have this Porsche 911. I just loved the design, the power, and smooth handling. The car is also in very good condition. I bought it two years ago after searching for a couple of years. Since the car is original I’m not planning on adding anything other than original parts.

I’m the president of a local classic car club, called Retro Car Club and here where I live, in the Belgian countryside, roads are fine but flat. That’s why we often go out with others to drive the Ardennes Forest, where there are some beautiful shady, winding roads.

Lovely car – I have a 1981 but without the spoiler. Speaking of which – be sure to fit the correct front spoiler soon – the turbo rear wing should never be installed without it – it could be unstable at speed.

Or remove the rear wing.
NA 911’s look better without.
😉

Indeed. The recommended options are in order; front only, front AND rear. Never rear only as you suggest for balance reasons… Neko.

Great car! I am now driving a Beetle, the car that was your first classic, hope to own a 911 later as well!
