While in Milan last week friend to Petrolicious and founder of The Outlierman suggested we check out a little custom motorcycle show at Monza, so I gave a ring to our pals from Deus Ex Machina and we hopped in the car and cruised on over, long story short I’m very glad we did. Customs and classics from all over Italy were on display, speckled by the latest offerings from BMW Motorrad.

I’m afraid I don’t have too much information on all of the bikes, but if there’s a specific one you’d like to know a bit more about jump in the comments and I’ll sort you out.

Great stuff! Ted I would like to make a suggestion, why don´t you guys make a billboard on the site to let fellow enthusiast know about upcoming classic motorcycles and car events. I wanted to kill myself after I realized I was in Italy during Targa Florio and didn’t know.

Some of that stuff is just too absurd. But the old MV made it all worthwhile. Thanks!

That early KTM near the top of this feature is super cool.

If you haven’t seen Penton: The John Penton Story, it’s worth checking out. Lots of very good footage of old Six Days enduros, and of early US-market KTMs, all branded as Pentons(as one does). I saw it with my dad, who is a KTM nut and who worked at a KTM dealer from the early 1990s through 2-3 years ago at a special screening in a theater full of his riding friends. Cool film.
