FAQ

Since the very beginning of Petrolicious, the United Kingdom has been a source; a place to find exceptional automobiles in an area of the world rich in beautiful locations for films and photographs.

But more important than the deep mines of mechanical and natural beauty that dot the land, the UK has proved to be a wellspring of likeminded enthusiasts who we are proud to call our supporters and collaborators, which is why we couldn’t be happier to announce that the first-ever Petrolicious Drivers’ Meeting will be held at Bicester Heritage on May 12th.

There will be various awards—including some for the parking lot contingent of cars—and we encourage you to bring your prides and joys to park in the Drive Tastefully section that will be open to Petrolicious-appropriate automobiles. Our inaugural Drivers’ Meeting is also one of our first events to carry member benefits; Petrolicious Members will enjoy free and priority access to the event, an exclusive parking area, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the venue for Founding Members. The event is open to anyone who wants to attend, and tickets for non-members will be £12.50. Kids under 16 get in for free regardless of Membership. Places are still open for showing your car, which you can learn more about here. There’s also an option to have a special photoshoot of your car with a Petrolicious photographer, which you can learn more about here.

Bicester Heritage, the former RAF bomber base in Oxfordshire, serves as a hub for classic race and road car industry, and the compound made up of brick-and-tile workshops, rustic hangars, and cozy courtyards could not be designed as a more ideal venue for this event.

Between a curated selection of vehicles that range from Rambo Lambos to homologation specials, a vintage Williams grand prix car (with matching transporter, naturally) to an ex-works Colin McRae Subaru Impreza WRC car, the group of 200-some cars is a hand-picked collection that celebrates tastefulness and diversity, but with talks from former racing drivers, screenings of new and classic Petrolicious films, and an interwoven presence of artwork around the venue, this will be much more than your standard Sunday morning car show.

The majority of the companies based at Bicester Heritage will be opening their doors to visitors on the day of, including Robert Glover Ltd, Pendine, Porsche specialists Sports Purpose, pre-war Riley and MG experts Blue Diamond Services, Fuzz Townshend Classic Oils, Auto Wax Works, Porsche Classic Life, and the famous Wriggly Monkey Brewery.

If you’ve never visited the world-famous Bicester Heritage complex before, you’re in for a treat, and if you’ve been a Sunday Scramble regular for a while, expect an event with a significantly larger scope and greater curation. We expect a few thousand attendees on May 12th, and we hope you’ll be there with all of us for our first-ever Drivers’ Meeting. Tickets are available for purchase here, and Petrolicious Members are invited to attend free of charge thanks in part to our sponsors below. We hope to see you there.

I have the same members questions; how do I register? So far no response to emails, and I assume my membership allows my entry only, my passenger would need to buy a ticket?

It would be good to hear something in reply from you chaps.
I too, as a member, am wondering how to register for the event without getting a normal ticket.

I think I speak for us lot here in the UK when I say that we are delighted about a UK event; we just want to secure our place. Please don’t misjudge our anticipation for moaning!

I echo Riyad’s comment, I think you’ve dropped the ball here, not what I would expect for nearly $600.

When will you post a registration link for members?

Tickets are on sale, but there’s still no way for members to register – initial announcement said there would be a separate registration option for members.

BTW, 2 days ago this was posted. Yet no email was sent to members. Kind of odd? No details on how to register as a member and no email to even advise the event was announced.

As a member, do I just turn up or have to pre-register?

Two questions:
How will I prove I am a member when I turn up on the day?
Will my wife be able to get access to the Members area if she comes with me?
