Celebrate BMW Art Cars With The Latest Items In Our Shop

Here at Petrolicious, cars and art go together like cars and coffee, cars and racing—even cars and drivers. A well-presented livery that’s able to “wow” is precisely what BMW’s Art Car project hoped to achieve, and the latest artwork in our Shop pays homage to the 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL Le Mans race car by Frank Stella.

Automotive artist Teej adds to his series of Art Car prints and “With Hearts” Porsche cards in “Art Car II – Stella” with a pack of six (6) graphic cards. Each shows Stella’s work, with a twist: “In this set I thought to provide three cards that show the progression of the bare car to the eventual design, and three that play a little on the work of Mr. Stella, but in the context of the BMW 3.0 CSL” the artist notes in his description of the piece.

They’re beautiful to examine closely, hold, and—eventually—frame. Printed on thick 4 layer matte cardstock, each measures 5.8″ x 4.1″.
