The separation angle of the cylinder banks on this V6 is 65 degrees, increased from 60 degrees on prior engines. This is discussed 5:09 in the video. The motivation for this change is unclear. What say you, members of the ‘hive mind’ that is Petrolicious? Opening up the cylinder banks a little provides more room for the manifold. Does this make the engine ‘package envelop’ more compact? That might be a motivation. The exhaust ports get tilted down, easing the first bend radius on the exhaust headers slightly, making that bend run cooler. What were they seeking?
I don’t mean to be disrespectful but I’ve never met (generally speaking) or known anyone quite like this woman portrayed here. A car lover and intelligent. And she has a background in physics! We could discuss Heisenberg’s theories all day and her not stare at me like I have a third eye growing out of my forehead.
Petrolicious, where do you get these gems?! The car and it’s elegant owner who gets it so perfectly? Cars are metal – you ding them, you fixed them! -That’s it!
Btw, I think it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone driving a classic Ferrari through mud and (very) dirty water!
Please, continue!
