Was there a reason they had to keep the cars covered after the auctions? Maybe I’m reading too much into it but something sounds a little… Italian mob maybe… in all this.
What a fantastic video once again
I am so happy to see the car in Police Car museum, ROMA
Legend
Awesome story. I knew nothing of this Ferrari! I already thought the Carabinieri were cool for driving Alfa Romeos all these years but now!?! wow!Your text to link…
This is FANTASTIC!! Someone has to make a movie about Spatafora the “I’m a cop, not a racing driver” racing driver cop and his Ferrari.
Please… the name of the soundtrack 🙂
So… maybe they’re not joking with this?
Thanks for another fantastic video.
Wait, he drove it down some stairs!? epic.
They actually recreate that in the movie I mentioned upthread, which is loosely based on the story of this car. Pic attached (also visible here:http://cdn.ilcinemaniaco.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/poliziotto-sprint-800×600.jpg if the attachment fails)
It is gorgeous, I want it!
Such a cool story.
While waiting for the vid to be made un-private, here’s a link to a car chase from the 1977 Italian poliziottesco film Poliziotto Sprint (AKA Highway Racer) which prominently features a Ferrari 250 Police Pursuit car, seen here dueling with a Citroen DS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARWjkJ96HUw
